Carroll County Mental Health Advocates (CMHA) is committed to providing support services, resources and education to individuals and families impacted by mental illness and addiction and the Carroll County community. Our organization has multiple areas of service, including:
The Recovery Spot of West Georgia
The Recovery Spot of West Georgia is a safe space for individuals whose lives have been impacted by addiction. We provide peer support services and recovery-focused community education and outreach programs.
Peer Support Program
CMHA also hosts support groups and activities for individuals living with mental illness. NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) Carroll County Support Groups meet at the CMHA office weekly.
Community Education and Outreach
CMHA promotes mental health education and community outreach to break the stigma associated with mental illness. This program hosts events throughout the year.
Mental Health Pre-Trial Diversion Program
This program provides opportunities for individuals who have been charged with a qualifying misdemeanor crime, to participate in a 12-month intensive mental health treatment program.
Our Work
Carroll County Mental Health Advocates (CMHA) consists of local citizens and agencies with a desire to address the needs of Carroll County citizens who face mental illness. As citizens we are all stakeholders in Carroll County.
