Community Outreach & Education
Community Outreach & Education
Building informed, connected, and recovery-friendly communities.
At Carroll County Mental Health Advocates (CMHA) & The Recovery Spot RCO, we believe education and connection are powerful tools for creating healthier communities.
Our Community Outreach & Education efforts bring mental health, substance use, recovery, peer support, and community resources directly to the people and organizations we serve. Through presentations, community events, outreach campaigns, partnerships, trainings, and educational opportunities, we work to increase awareness, challenge stigma, and make it easier for individuals and families to find support.
Hope grows when communities come together.

Through collaboration, we help:
- Connect people to resources.
- Build stronger referral pathways.
- Increase community awareness.
- Expand access to support.
- Create more recovery-friendly communities.
Awareness Campaigns
Sometimes changing a community starts with changing the conversation.
CMHA develops and participates in campaigns that bring visibility to mental health, substance use, recovery, and the importance of community connection.
From National Recovery Month and National Mental Health Awareness Month initiatives to local outreach campaigns like #ShineGreen and #HopeGrowsHere, our goal is to replace stigma with understanding and isolation with connection.
